Graduate / Junior Production Engineer

If so we are seeking a Junior Production Engineer on a permanent basis for company that supply globally specialising the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery and equipment to get involved in production manufacturing and to step up into a more senior role within 18 months.

Essential Requirements / Experience:
- Must have a Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical Engineering etc.)
- A strong character with the ambition to progress and eager to learn and get stuck into a variety of production manufacturing projects
- Ideally someone that is familiar with a ERP/MRP/In-house system – Not Essential

The Role
- As a Junior Production Engineer you will be split office based and on the shop floor working in a production based position with the plan to progress for the right candidate, responsibilities include:
- Production planning to ensure maximum operational efficiency, this will include reviewing and rescheduling when necessary
- Continuous improvement of production and manufacturing processes
- Implementation of lean manufacturing methods to improve production efficiency
- Creating BOM’s (Bills of materials) Working orders etc.
- Balancing requirements against resources & agreeing delivery dates
