Quality Engineer

Are you a hands on quality engineer with the ability to improve manufacturing processes and implement new workflows? Do you have experience conducting roo causes analysis and failure mode aspects? If so we are seeking a quality engineer to be part of a global group involved in new designs and redesigns of products used for other industries on a permanent basis for a global design and manufacturer of bespoke equipment that supply globally.

The Quality Engineer role is a hands-on position that requires daily interaction with all business departments and external contacts to investigate and solve quality issues.

We are looking for someone that will be proactive in their approach to problems and opportunities for improvement, display ownership of the issue as a whole and use a standardised approach to achieve root cause analysis.

  • Competitive initial starting annual salary up to circa £35,000 per annum depending on experience

Quality Engineer

Essential Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to improve manufacturing process and implement new workflows

  • Some continuous improvement experience will be advantageous but not essential, root cause analysis and failure mode aspects experience is required

  • PFMEA’s, 8D Problem Solving Techniques, Control Plans, Capability Studies, 5Y

Quality Engineer

The Role

  • As a Quality Engineer you will be involved in problem solving skills and procedures to determine root cause and implementation/monitoring of corrective and preventive actions

  • This role is focus on a hand son approach not stuck behind a desk, so experience working on the shop floor improving processes is essential

  • Interact with Production to be aware of any production issues and to be involved in corrective action process

  • To look at data for trends and conclusions, suggest and implement corrective actions

  • Analyse scrap items and associated data to assist in problem solving and continuous improvement

  • Overall you will be working part of a close team, working on a range of varied product used within a variety of industries, you will be involved in new product development
