Technical Sales Manager / Sales Manager (Engineering) Essential Requirements / Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Sales / Sales Management / Business Development position, with a proven track record of technical sales

  • Must have a technical engineering / manufacturing background (Ideally within Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Special Purpose Machinery, Process Machinery etc. but open to any engineering field)

  • This person must possess a good business acumen with financial and commercial awareness

  • Efficient in the use of prospecting methods including networking, outbound calls and customer facing

  • The successful candidate will be driven, highly motivated and possess a passion to grow the business

  • Must be willing to travel all over the UK to meet customers

  • We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to take a pivotal role within a business that is growing rapidly, we are looking for someone to take on the key task to develop new and existing business opportunities

  • Support the Technical Director in the planning and implementation of sales activities through the development of the companies strategies

  • Qualifying and generating new sales leads and following up on quotations / offers

  • Negotiate and close high value deals, development of strategic sales plans

  • Provide technical support to existing and new customers throughout the entire sales process

  • Establish and maintain good customer relationships, ultimately increasing repeat business sales / new sales
